2l bottle. Deep brown colour, fizzy. Slightly sourish aroma with a touch of barnyard. Quite sweet with a leomny touch.

No head. Served in a ceramic cup, so I have no idea about the body. Ginger-like, soda-like aroma with earthy notes. Taste is watery ginger with a dry peppery burnt aftertaste. Very light, and quite sweet. Nothing too special about this one; a light, fizzy soft drink. (0.3l of uncertain provenance.)

Found at a Russian grocery at Robson & Bidwell. Dull dark brown colour, no head. Big brown sugar nose is clean and with light raisin. Really sweet flavour, quite rich. Light raisin nuance. Almost an overload of brown sugar. This does, however, give it a full body. Big, flavourful example. Not nearly as refreshing as some other top examples, but if you like a good kvas, this is one worth checking out.
