Mad well balanced, especially for someone who hates coffee forward beers, solid barrel, maple, coffee, a hint of nuttiness and delicious chocolate notes.

Tap at the brewery - this is technically the 2023 edition, but I don't think the different years warrant different entries on this one, as the adjunct treatments are the same, they just have slight changes in the spirit barrels they use - black pour, a little fizzy - deep chocolate flavor, with slight hints of the bark - this one used a Sezerac Rye barrel, so the rye quality shines through fairly brightly here - leaning slightly to the cloying side on the sweetness, especially in the finish - but otherwise pretty good.

2023 edition at the brewery - viscous black pour - deep vanilla and rye aroma, with oak, coffee, and chocolate - smooth, with well-hidden alcohol - lots of vanilla and chocolate, with a warm, but not boozy finish - finish brings a light tannic acidity and lingering warmth - dig it.
