Pours a slightly cloudy, golden yellow with not much head to speak of. Aroma is very grassy. Some fruitiness in the flavor--a hint of watermelon--but otherwise, a lot of grass and a strange, saison-like aftertaste (others have mentioned a flavor like Belgian yeast and I think that’s what I’m getting, too). Not terrible, but could be better.

Pours a deep brown-black, with massive, lasting head. Aromas include licorice, roasted grain, chocolate, coffee, tobacco, leather. Flavors include all of these, plus a touch of "homebrew" aftertaste that surprised me and I didn’t really care for. Up to that point, I thought this was a pretty solid black IPA, but it needs a bit more development.

Winterfest 2016. I did not not like this. The acid character is overwhelming from the aroma and into the flavor. It is not so much sour as it is acidic, lacks the light sweetness common to the style.

Sampled at a festival, February 2016. I thought this was bad. Clear yellow color. is this a Budweiser clone? They said it was beechwood aged. I was excited for a moment and thought it might mean smoke, but no, just a light pale lager. I did not find anything premium about it.
