$4.67 pounder from Appalachian. Burnsville is close but we've never been. No date stamp. Pint glass at home. Very dark brown on black pour. Oily brown, quickly dissipating coffee head. Sweet, rich coffee, burnt chocolate, coffee creamer nose. Vanilla-laced creamer, bittersweet, medium roasted coffee, dark chocolate nibs, acidic, concentrated cola, cocoa breakfast cereal, lingering nutty finish. Hyper bubbly, very acidic, thin & a little boozy. Too sharp. Okay+.

Pint can from Appalachian Vintner as just IPA not Session IPA. ABV matches. New brewery! Brewery #2156, USA # 1750 (cool), NC # 111. Murky amber, chunks. Large beige head, good retention. Aroma of lemongrass, grapefruit, pale malt. Taste is grapefruit, lemongrass, white grape, resin. Mild bitterness, tad bit thin. Decent.

More of a fan of the traditional British slash not brown then the American and imperials. Can see what they're trying to do here with the Yorkshire yeast but still. Brings out some solvent qualities and a weird kind of sweetness. It's drinkable but I wouldn't look for it again.

The aromas are coffee, dark malt, roast, and a little cocoa. Flavors are similar to nose, coffee is a bit old, a little sweet up front with modest bitterness at the end. Okay body and finish. Not that much Cocoa in there. Okay beer.

Pour is a hazy amber with a large white head. Aroma is a nice pine sap with some green onion and garlic. Flavor is a bit thin and watery although this is refreshing. Some melon hop flavor with some dry honey malt. This has a very clean aftertaste that gets you ready for the next sip. Decent but kind of a let down flavor wise.
