Pour is cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is an odd peanut butter. Flavor is the same. A large nuttiness. I don't think that is what they were going for but it's what I got. I did not get any spruce. Odd beer.

Wow! Totally unexpected. Taiheke hops and a big barleywine-like feel. kinda like a Blondiewine so to speak. I really like it. Wasn't prepared for it but I love it. 11%. Pic: look sharp when you're sick. It makes you feel better.

Love this brewery. Think I love the gal on the label too.

A bit strange but I like it. Love the exploration of historical styles.

Lovely little beer, quite unique. Reminds me a bit of sahti as well as the unboiled beers of Lithuania (though this one was probably boiled). Complete lack of bitterness. Lots of juniper, botanical and woodsy.

Keg at the brewery during the March 2023 Prohibition Speakeasy Road Trip, 3/10/23. As English-style barleywine. Thanks Adam! Hazy orange, medium tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, raisin, citrus. Taste is toffee, stone fruit, nuts. Smooth, well balanced.
