Description
Welcome to Two Heroes, a very exciting Brew Pub addition in South Hero Vermont!
This idea started over 5 years ago, when Matt & Daren decided that South Hero would benefit from another eating place with community at the forefront. While watching the the brewery market for over a decade, we believe that a small town nano brewpub would be a stable model to both produce beer and run a local restaurant. We believe that community is the most important aspect of this town and we serve to fill the void for a local gathering place for community members and visitors alike.
The pandemic forced us to pivot from our original plans of breaking ground, to instead opening a tasting room in a much smaller space. For the time being you can find us at the “old Wally’s” space on the corner of Rt 2 and 314 on the way to the NY Ferry. We can’t wait to share our passion with you!

Can to tulip.
Appearance: hazy orange color with a quarter finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: danky sweet oniony to hemp-like scents up front with a resinous piney to earthy tone; some supporting malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a sweet danky and earthy sweet character with a little bit of citrusy tones entering for a light balance; finishes danky and earthy with some dryness
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; some smoothness but also some bursts of hop bitterness assertiveness (not too aggressive but noticeable)
Overall: not entirely for me as I'm not huge into the marijuana drenched IPA/DIPA's but this isn't a bad beer.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: clear copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: mixed citrusy to lemony to tangerine to piney and earthy hop tones; light bready maltiness in the background
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality with a touch of some zingy hop zest; finishes like a fresh hopped lager of lemony to piney and earthy notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; pretty smooth along the tongue with nothing bothersome anywhere; good carb level
Overall: I say a nicely done IPL I would have again.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: copper to gold color with a sturdy two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some grassy to floral hop tones with a clean cracker-like malty backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality; finishes malty smooth with adequate bittering hops
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; good smoothness with mostly nothing there being cumbersome - just a good even flow; good carb level
Overall: pretty easy going APA - initially I was thinking this was a bit "old school" but maybe not. I'd come back to and maybe next time straight out of the can and perhaps next to my grill.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: clear copper color with no head and no lace
Aroma: sweet corn with some grassy and slightly floral hops
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a mostly sweet quality; finishes crisp and sweet
Texture: light bodied; good sessionability; good smoothness with nothing bothersome anywhere; good carb level
Overall: might not have much to say on Brewver about this beer but it's not bad; there's just not much to it. Maybe I'd come back to straight out of the can while grilling this Summer.

Can to nonic glass.
Appearance: glossy to murky pale yellow almost orangey chill haze color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lemon peel bitterness with some light lemony hop sweetness and a touch of sweet wheat
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet sort of quality; finishes lemony with a touch of wheat
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; some smoothness with a tickle of wheat tartness nicking the tongue a bit; good carb level
Overall: not bad, yeah, I bet this would be a great back deck porch sipper.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: semi-clear copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet piney to floral to mixed citrusy hop tones with a sly danky oniony sweet earthy hop vibe in the middle and a clean caramel to semi-biscuity malt backbone
Flavor: mixes on up the prior noted aromas to a fine bitter to bittersweet quality; finishes dry and smooth through piney to floral sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; great smoothness along the tongue with that pillowy dryness that isn't invasive but just noticeable; good carb level and appropriate hop bitterness level
Overall: nice West coast styled IPA I would very much want again.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: clear dark yellow almost copper color with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lemon zesty to herbal and a touch of passion fruity hoppy tones with a light malty tone underneath
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to sweet herbal to slightly zesty hop quality flanked by an ever so slight bitter note of those hops; finishes hop zesty with a pinch of passion fruit
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness with a pinch of zesty sharpness but to be honest - it's pretty faint
Overall: pretty nicely done New Zealand pilsener I would return to.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: clear yellow color with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated slowly then left some light lace
Aroma: the red fruity sweet/strawberry hop notes are up front with some light mixed citrusy hop notes and a soft bready malt underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet berry fruity to citrusy sweet quality; finishes slightly dry with some hop oils
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; somewhat oily along the tongue, nice enough carb level
Overall: the brewer calls this an Italian pilsner and well, there is that oily feel in the texture and I often think many Italian pilsners often feel that way.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown in the pour but more of a black in the glass with a finger's worth of off-white foamy head which trailed off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, light coffee roast, light toast and some sweet vanilla
Flavor: mildly blends the prior noted aromas to a light sweet to roasty character with a slight finish of the milk chocolate and vanilla bean
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, good smoothness but light roasty grabs on the tongue
Overall: nice enough vanilla bean stout worthy of coming back to.
