Bottle from Piwa Regionalne, Katowice. Dark brown/black colour, beige foam. Medium carbonation. Smoky aroma with notes of bacon. Roastiness and coffee. Bit thin but easy drinkable. Good beer!

Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of roast, coffee and malt, with touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with touches of smoke and notes of coffee, hops and malt. Bitter, roasty aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Decent.

Bottle, 5%. Farty aroma, sweet malts. Black colour. Big stable brown head. The flavour starts off slightly smoked. Turns roasted and mildly malty. Finishes clean with another wee whiff of smoke. Not as sweet as other smoked stouts. Good.

Tap (VI FDP). Barwa ciemno zlota, piana bialo-szara, delikatna. Aromat chmielowy z wyczuwalna i wyrazna nuta herbaty Earl Grey, slodkawy, owocowy. Piwo delikatnie wytrawne z nuta Earl Grey’a jak w aromacie i slodkim posmakiem. Goryczka wyczuwalna, delikatna, krotka i niezalegajaca. Zdecydowanie ciekawe piwo a nuta herbaty mega wyrazna i bardzo fajnie wkomponowana. Piwo pijalne, lekkie i orzezwiajace. Bardzo odwazny pomysl na piwo, a co najwazniejsze udany. Draft sample @ Warszawski Festiwal Piwa 2015. Dorée-orangée, col crémeux blanc-cassé. Arôme est herbacé, rétro nasal noble anglais avec un côté agrumes-fleuri, citronnelle le tout semblant bien prononcé. Palais est, ici aussi, fort centré sur l’herbacé, assez agréable, sorte de bouquet d’herbe méditerranéenne, sauge voire basilique. Citronnelle, malt léger de style amer-pils gardant une influence anglaise.

Draft sample @ Warszawski Festiwal Piwa 2015. Dorée, claire paille-pâle. Col blanc moyen. Arôme au bouquet légèrement fumé, petite note surette et léger rétro houblonné noble. Presque cette impression de touche minérale. Palais est léger sur u agréable profil fumé malté Weyermann. Finement houblonné, noble sur un fini centré sur les grains, touche de fruité vert - houblon, ce dernier est sec avec un fumé qui reste agréable. Bière très légère, style à apprécier.

37.5cl bottle, huge thanks to Maciej for offering me this bottle out of his personnal stash. BB 31/12/2020. Couleur brune foncée, col crémeux café au lait. Arôme au bouquet de vin rouge rappelant le Sherry, sur un rétro de brett pour un léger funk. Pointe épicée s’immisce en rétro-nasal tout en gardant cet ajout vineux. Palais est légèrement aigre, note de vin rouge pour une effervescence moyenne-haute. Malt chocolaté à noter avec une pointe de chaleur perçant des piments mais sans être surfait. Sur la fin, cette chaleur épicée arrive à être plus présente et se mélange bien aux notes vin/malté. Une très belle découverte d’autant plus que ce style d’essai reste encore rare en Pologne, tout comme le ’barrel aging’.

Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy deep amber color with medium soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of pineapple, passion fruit, resin and caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is refreshing fruity, bready and grassy, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Promising start, but it’s slowly weakening...

Tap (VI FDP). Barwa niemal czarna, piana bezowo-brazowa, niezbyt trwala ale ladnie oblepiajaca szklo. Aromat delikatnie palony, czekoladowy, bardzo subtelny. W smaku nuty alkoholowe, czekolady, sheery, wisni w czekoladzie z lekkim kwaskowym posmakiem. Palonosc gdzies w tle. Piwo tresciwe, slodkawe, rozgrzewajace, delikatnie piekace w przelyku. Ogolnie calkiem przyjemny imperial stout.
