Introducing Fly Llama Brewing, the newest craft brewery on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We offer approachable craft beer and refreshing hard seltzer made from locally sourced ingredients. Balancing both traditional and new-aged brewing techniques, our portfolio celebrates classic styles and local Southern flavors.
Fly Llama Brewing was founded by David Reese, brewmaster and Advanced Cicerone. David is the only Advanced Cicerone in Mississippi and one of 139 in the world. This achievement requires an extraordinary understanding and distinctive expertise of beer, as well as an excellent ability to evaluate and describe flavor.
After earning a brewing degree from Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL, Reese spent several years in the industry working for various Midwest breweries. He relocated to Mississippi in 2014 to help open Chandeleur Island Brewery. He is excited to have this opportunity to open Fly Llama Brewing and truly express who he is as a brewer.
Fly Llama Brewing will celebrate traditional styles while pushing the boundaries of brewing traditions by using unique ingredients and techniques. We are proud to have partnered with TexMalt, the most local option for a craft maltster located in Fort Worth, Texas. We are committed to sourcing the highest quality ingredients while supporting local whenever possible.

On tap at Fly Llama, pours a cloudy, muddy dark orange brown with a small white head. Aroma is pure ethanol, with lots of perfumey rum — that's gonna be rough — with a touch of coconut. Flavour is rough, with way too much perfumey rum; the coconut is nice but can't save the crappy rum character. Not palatable for me.

On tap at Fly Llama, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of dry, toasted bready malt and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour is more malty and sweet than the nose suggested, with caramel malt, bready malt, and some booze. Robust and full-bodied with good balance. Solid stuff.

On tap at Fly Llama, pours a deep dark mahogany brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out a surprisingly nice Belgian yeast expression, dry toffee and bready malt. Flavour is surprisingly impressive, with a nicw, complex Belgian yeast expression, dry toffee and bready malt. Carbonation is above average, which is fitting for the style. Very good.

On tap at Fly Llama, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma certainly brings out winter spices—nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon—along with a decent toasted malt base. Flavour is sweet and sour—very odd for a winter ale—bringing out the lemon, sweet fruits, and winter spices. Unusual but it somehow works, finishing lemony and spicy. Pretty good.

On tap at Fly Llama, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige bead. Aroma brings out cinnamon, cocoa and a touch of spiciness. Flavour is spicy, with plenty of cinnamon and spicy pepper, with a touch of cocoa. Reasonably constructed, with the spices in good cohesion. Decent.
