Draft @ Barborteur Beerdays #1, 14.5.2016. Dorée/orangée, col crémeux blanc tenace. Arôme au nez fruité, agrumes, fruité perce en rétro-nasal apportant un petit côté pin voire résineux. Palais est léger offrant de belles notes d’IPA; agrumes, pointes vertes, citronné et herbacé sur un fini sec avec une pointe de résineux et une amertume persistante.

On tap @So Good (Rome). Pours deep golden with a medium to little white head. Aroma of fresh fruits, citrus, mandarin, grass, nice but a bit shy. Flavour is delicate bitter with a low body and a great drinkability, balanced. Light body, watery, medium carbonation. Good.

On tap somewhere in Trieste-Italy. Pours coffee bean color, quite dark more black with a nice beige head. Nose: roasted accent, toasted barley and some hops aroma but far away. Mouth: good! More roasted less hops. The result is an innovative black IPA which talks to roasted malts having only a velvety and well-balanced bitterness. I like this concept!

A deep dark IPA with a thick frothy lacing dark mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light chocolate and resinous hops, dissipating quick, very nice though. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate chocolate malt with light coffee, resinous and piney hops, very nice. Bottle from Rome, 2 years old.

Hazy blond color with medium sized head. Nice citrusy hop aroma. The mouthfeel is dry but smooth; pale malt backbone, good citrusy hops, resiny, but also a quite sharp spicy yeast character.

Cask at Birrivico, Como
Brown hazy, with generous beige frothy head. Delicate notes of cocoa and yeast. Soft mouthfeel, served at perfect temperature and carbonation, caramel flavor with hints of Italian coffee and cocoa nibs; correct bitterness; the final reminds me of Pocket Coffee.

I had tons of coffee beers in North America recently, but this one is better than all the others.
