Bouteille de 75cl, BB 12/2014, lotto# 53-13 courtesy offered as a gift by Nio @ Lambiczoon, Milano. Dorée claire, col blanc moyen. Arôme est légèrement fruité, notes agrumes avec un rétro levure offrant des effluves rustiques à la belge. Grains arrivant plus en avant. Palais est malté pâle, léger caramel sur une pointe amer herbacée des houblons. Sec et légèrement amer sur un fini modéré fruité alternant agrumes et qcq épices. Petit touche poussiéreuse en fin de bouche.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, caramel malts, almonds, sugar, grass, dried fruits, toffee. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, grass, sugar, almond cake, oak, hay. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Sampled from a big bottle at the Grand Tasting at the RBNG-event at Fredrik 3.’s Hall. Off-white head to a cloudy, dark amber coloured body. Earthy malt and vanilla sweetness on the nose. Flavoured with herbal hops, raisin, vanilla and even joined by a touch of liquorice. Bittersweet end. Noticeable alcohol. Tolerable sweet. Okay in small doses (Fredriksten festning, Halden 15.02.2014).

From a shared 75cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Sweet and malty aroma with caramel and hints of alcohol. A bit too sweet for my taste, but fairly well balanced.

Bottle, 75cl, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. A dense, light beige head forms over an unclear amber colored body. The aroma is pretty malty, with a boozy touch and some fruity hints. Full-bodied and quite low on carbonation, warming. The flavor has caramel, dried apricots, some prunes and quite a lot of booze. Lasting boozy finish. A beer I find too boozy, without being bad in any way. 140215

Hazy pale gold beer with a small white head. Palate is light, softish and semi dry. Minerally carbonation. Light wheaty malt, whisper of cream. Mild citrus. Finishes smooth with a final carbonated nip. Easy going if somewhat uninspiring.
