Clear brown colour, beige head. Sweet aroma, caramel, molasses and most. Vinous notes. Sweet flavour, light bitter, roasted malts and some sweet fruits. Light grape peel astringency. Finish liquorice and roasted malts.

Thx. tderoeck / Tim for this one. 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Apparently made Italian grapes, yay, appears to be some kind of vintage, I am guessing 2011 but that is a pure guess. Pours a blackish brown with a tanned head. Smell sweet, sticky & tad boozy, mocha, grapes, yeast, brown sugar & very strongly vineous. Didn’t know this was made with grapes when I wrote this stuff, was just a bit surprised & figured it just went south like this :) taste is bitter coffee, spices, mocha, chocolate plus a strong vinous character, dark fruits, light booze, malty with red grapes // red wine, light red wine booze in the back. Rather smooth, both sides don’t entirely work, I feel, don’t know, remember the bottle & see the notes but no distinct memories, going mainly by my badly written notes :) This was the last new beer of the evening for me, after this just re-sampling & drinking leftovers.

19/I/13 - 75cl bottle from Gradi Plato (Roma) @ RBBWG 2013 - BB: I/2014 - 2008 vintage (2013-81)

Clear purple brown beer, small aery beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, raisins, dried fruits, some chloride, grapes, bit sourish. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sugary, red wine, grape fruice, pretty sour, bitter tannins, some caramel (ok, only read afterwards that this beer was made with grapes, suddenly the label makes sense). Aftertaste: little bitter, mocha, sour touch, caramel, bit malty, dry hops, bitter ending, bit chocolaty.

Bottle 375ml.Clear medium to dark amber colour with a small small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, fresh wood and oak, dry wood and oak. Aroma is not complex and powerfull. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, sweet malt, fruity, wood, berry, alcohol, dry, tobacco. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20121116]

Bottle @ FOneFan. Dark amber/brown with tiny off-white head. Aroma is malt, oak, wood, dark fruits and a little tobacco. Flavour is malt, oak, tobacco, wood, little oxidized, little sweet, little dry, little vinous with notes of alcohol.

Bottle @ "Det er meget mørkt i Ulfborg", November 2012. Pours ruby amber with a bubbly head. Oxidized nose. Lots of dark fruit. Some oak. Flavor is vinous. Dark fruit, caramel and wood. Tasty with a fine depth.
