2015 riserva bottle from King Grizzly, drunk 2/22/18.
Explosive (beer everywhere) upon opening with a large, light tan head atop a mahogany-auburn body. Strong retention.
Interesting grape acidity with dry toffee, lots of mineral, hay and earth.
Flavor is rich, malty but perfectly dry with tight carbonation and no syrup or crystal malt-like flavors/textures. Raisin, plum, toffee are rich, yet dry and long. Strong and flavorful but really nothing like a forceful American barleywine at all. More belgian strong ale. Some grape-like sharpness at points, but it's pretty low after the few years of age here. Quite nice and worth the somewhat steep price tag. Will definitely try more from this brewery.

At a tasting, thanks, small fizzy bubbly brown head, deep brown color, vinous aroma with metal notes and a hint of cake, flavor of dark fruit and metal, sweet but not too heavy. Nice but not too exciting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Thanks kerenmk. Brown, quickly dissipating beige foam. Dark fruits, yeast, alcohol, vinous, sweet, slightly sourish, bitterish note. Messy and not too pleasant.

0,75 bottle at Cagliari airport (Italy) Baccusardus. Opalescent yellow color, bright white medium foam. Nose: yeasty forward, almond milk start, crumb, citrus is hidden. Mouth starts yeasty, sweet, a bit fruity pulp (sweet). Finish is a bit spicy. This is a real reinterpreted wit.

0,75 bottle purchased at Baccusardus in Villasimius (Italy), consumed at home. A fantastic pour, amber/orange bright and a bit hazy with a frothy and creamy cap. Nose: much roast, soft smokiness, a bit cheesy in a way, wet wood, sultana. Mouth: carbonation is medium to high, again roasted grains, grounded barley, the finish is clean and kind of watery (+). I have perceived a note of burnt wire somehow, which honestly I should try to determine if is an off thing or something I messed up. Good beer all in all.

0,75 bottle at Baccusardus in Villasimius (Italy), consumed at home. Cloudy orange color, irregular medium-low white foam with a decent retention. Nose: surprisingly rustic, malt leftovers, pollen, almonds, almonds cookiesy, honey royal jelly. Different and amazing. Mouth: balanced, really in style with a peculiar personality. I can spot caramel and cocoa notes, medium-high carbonation, warming abv, charming sweet (and frizzy finish). Complex and tasty!

0,75 bottle at Baccusardus in Villasimius (Italy). Semi clear golden bright color, long lasting white head. Nose: aggressively citric, wild dried berries, green pepper. Mouth recalls its sister BB7, pretty much. This one is less citric, more fruity, a bit malty. Finish is medium dry, silky bitter and spicy. The most sessionable among the serie, tasty one.
