16 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Frothy white head leaves lots of clinging lace. Grainy malt aroma hints at light citrus and mineral water. Light, crisp, dry malt flavor upfront. Reminiscent of dry Sake. Some earthy, grassy notes. A touch of ripe berries in finish. Pleasant and drinkable.

Can from a brother: pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg, chocolate. Taste moderately bitter and very spicy. Coffee has about as much taste as wawa coffee which is not all that much.

16oz can pours a rootbeer brown with some khaki head that faded quick.  Nose has all those baking spices, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, lots of toasted grains, burnt cracker, some Tootsie Roll.  Flavor has some soggy pumpernickel bread, a more of that toasted grain, the coffee shows up and I'm surprised I never noted it in the flavor, the baking spices are all there with some baker's chocolate to boot.  I didn't read ginger anywhere, but I wouldn't complain about that.  Finishes dry with the spices.  8 3 7 3 13
