Bottle. Color: Black, creamy brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, some coffee. Taste: Earthy, roasted malt, notes of coffee, hints of liquorice and vanilla. Over medium, bit creamy body. Below average carbonation. Moderate sweetness, over moderate to medium bitterness. Nice.

Bottle. Color: Murky lightly reddish brown, beige head. Aroma: Caramel malt, dark malt, hints of nuts. Taste: Caramel malt, some dark malt, hoppy backbone. Hints of chocolate and nuts. Light spicy hints. Some candy sugar. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate sweet and bitter. Ok dark quadrupel.

Gedronken op terras Bij Toontje Schoen te Chaam. Lichtbruin troebel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig bitter zoet en kruidig met iets van citrus, wat nootmuskaat en banaan. Heel goede tripel.

Very dark brown with lasting thin head. Aroma has lots of nicely roasted malts. Flavour profile is more like a Belgian dark ale. Not very far away from a Rochefort 8. For the style certainly too gassy and yeasty. Nice and interesting flavour though.

Clear golden colour with lasting thin head. Slightly spicy, sweet aroma. Malty taste, fruity esters, touch of banana.

Clear blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a citric element and some vomit. In the background a hint of sweet spice. Served in a glass without the bottle. I suspect it was past its best but really not sure. Terrible.

Clear dark brown colour with thin head. Aroma is sweet and malty with dried fruits. Quite rich, almost going towards cognac with the rich, fruity, boozy sweetness. Nice oily texture.
