On tap at Sockeye Brewing. pouts out a sun orange with some amber. Topped with a off white cream head. A very nice citrus hop aroma. Tast full of more citrus hops. I picked up some malt and some caramel sweetness. This is a very tasty brew.

on tap once and from a growler once. This one pours out a light gold topped with a white head. Aroma light hops and grain. Tast more grain and more of the light hop bitterness. Not bad.

On Tap at the BrewPub. Served ice cold, pelucid light yelllow with a nice dense of whie head. Light grainand corn aroma. Fresh pale barley flavor with a bit vegetative corn notes again. A bot bitter for the style but anything for flaavor I guess. Light and clean, but I actually liked this sample of a style that I usually don’t give a second look. Pleasantly surprised.

On Tap at the BrewPub. Nice chestnut brown with a small light tan head. Some wispy lacing and a soft woody light roast aroma. Fairly light and thin and a bit of that slightly sour light porter twinge. Dare i say it?.... "Quafable" !

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours copper with a bit of haze and thin tan head. The aroma has a quick hit of roasty malts before sweet dark fruity esters are noticed with layers of boysenberry, Concord grape jam and cherries. Yum. The taste is just like the aroma with a mild roasted malt flavor that rides throughout. The dark fruitiness isn’t as bold as in the nose and seems to be cut by mild grapefruit and pine hop bitterness.

On Tap at the BrewPub Black with medium brown head. Nice lacing that lasts. Sharp roasted aroma and some of the Bourbon notes as well. Flavor was dark roasted and of the whiskey barrel also, thogh subtlel. I thought the woody, dusty sediment feel took off some of the beneifts that the aging had on this. Tasted/felt like the barrel was powdered and poured right into my glass. Maybe if had been filtered affter aging...

On Tap at Sockeye Brewing Boise, ID. Pours out a pitch black topped a nice brown head. A very nice sweet aroma of vanilla. Tast much like the normal Split Tail but with the wood, vanilla, and Jim Beam. I think they may have tried a little to hard to make it tast like the oak. Still tasty but not as good as it could have been.
