On Tap at the BrewPub. Black viscous and a small tan head. Modest but persistant lacing. Big warm aromas of dark roasted malts and molasssas. Big sharp roasted flavors wiith some licorice and campfire notes. Full palate and plenty of bitternes to balance the heavy sweet flavors. Very nice.

Draft @ Sockeye: Near black pour with a big, creamy brown head. Decent sheet lacing. First impression of the aroma is roasted malts with coffee before picking up the chocolate. Flavor is roasty, burnt malt, and a bit smoky. Chocolate and coffee blend together with a nice bitters presence in the trailer. Creamy on the palate. There has been a great run of Impys on tap in the valley lately and this one is right up there with them all. Well done, a very solid offering from an Idaho brewer.

Draft @ Brewpub: Pours am immensely dark brown with a smaller beige head. Aroma of roast, malt, and floral hops. Flavor is initially solid with roasty notes, malt, nuts, and a bit of hops before weakening out in the finish. Finish is a bit flat with some light bitters. Most likely just what the brewer was looking to achieve; drinkable by most patrons. Still, better than a lot of browns.

Bottle at the Brewpub. One of the few remaining bottles of the β05 batch that the barkeep busted out for us Hazy deep mahogany with a small off white head. Modeset sweet malty carmel aroma. Flavors were of soft ripe pittd fruits, brown sugar and sweet lightly roasted malts. Thick soft feel and very subdued hop notes. The 2 years in the bottle really settled this down. Would not have guessed 10%+
