Description
A small independent brewery based in Northern Ireland with a belief in simplicity and a knack for brewing pretty good beer.

Like many good ventures, Modest Beer was born in a parent’s garage in Holywood, County Down when Chris Morris, a tax accountant by day, brewed a small experimental batch of Kölsch for a friend’s restaurant. Within two years we moved to a much larger brewery in Randalstown. We never set out to brew the best beer in Northern Ireland, but maybe someday we will.

Can from Appellation Wines, BBD 15/03/23. Appearance - massive gusher then hazy yellow with a quickly fading white head. Nose - orange, peach, wet dog and gentle breadiness. Taste - orange, bready and light zest on the finish. Palate - light bodied, gentle bitterness on the finish. Overall - well it didn't start well, but that was a nice beer in the end.
