Small offwhite coarse head quickly disappears. Yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Smoky, meaty, vaguely alcoholic aroma. Taste is deep sweetish smoke with meaty, alcoholic notes. Some grain and bitterness, as well as buttery notes in taste and aroma. Bitter, grainy aftertaste. Quite interesting, but not too great. (0.5l bottle.)

Small white head; pale yellow body with some ongoing carbonation. Grainy, smoky aroma. Taste is deep smoky grain with strong grassy notes, quite bitter. Harmonic, with fruity, citric notes. Chalky, bitter aftertaste. Quite a lot of taste, but still light, drinkable and refreshing. Good! (0.5l bottle.)

Big brown head, shrinks rapidly. Deep, dark brown body. Sweetish licorice aroma with toffee and coffee notes. Taste is deep, dense coffeeish and sweet with dry, burnt aftertaste. Velvety smooth mouthfeel. Oak and burnt almond notes. Very nice. Definitely the best Ukrainian beer I’ve tasted. (0.5l bottle.)

Biggish white head; yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Dense sweetish grainy grassy aroma. Dense sweetish chalky taste with some bitterness. No real aftertaste, though chalk and bitterness linger. Nothing wrong with this, but it’s not terribly interesting, either. (0.5l bottle.)

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Roasty and alcoholic aroma with some initial hints of vomit, gets better. Flavour is roasty and sweet with an acceptable bitterness in the finish. Quite nice.

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, small brown head. Aroma of plum, alcohol, apricot and some dark fruit. The flavour is the same, and hides ABV quite well. Mostly alcohol shows in the finish, which gives a slight "burning" palate.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, reddish mahogany with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. Full-bodied with sweet, roasted malt and a distinct alcohol burn in the binish. Some bitterness. 260806

Dark nut brown, small tan head. Light roasted, ashy nose. Very strong alcoholic taste, loads of licorice, long licorice aftertaste. Alcohol is evident but has very nice malty base - propably very nice one for cellaring. (6/4/8/4/16 3.8)
Re-rated bottle, again very good Baltic porter. (6/4/7/3/14 3.4)

Pale gold; creamy - as whipped cream - collapsing head. Vanilla, cream/milky, chalk, a bit of carboard for aromas. Typical spring water quality, both in taste as in MF. It’s far from unpleasant - but the problem is there’s nothing else to be had. Maybe a bit of leafy flavour, when searching hard? Way too watery. Nice spring water - but I thought this was beer? Or was it different in 1715, then?
