Description
Our focus is small batch, hand crafted, quality made mead and beer. We specialize in IPAs, stouts, and lagers and meads.
After years of homebrewing, multiple competition wins, watching friends successfully launch their own meaderies and breweries, and friends and family constantly asking “when are you going to open one?” and answering with “maybe Someday,” we realized “It is time for Someday!” With over a decade of experience and a true passion for the craft, we are excited to be Grosse Pointe Woods’ first meadery and microbrewery. Emphasis on micro – Someday is a small, family (and friends, “framily” if you will) run business, and we plan to stay that way for a while.
Our focus is small batch, hand crafted, quality made mead and beer. We specialize in IPAs, stouts, and lagers and melomels (fruited) and traditional meads. You can check out our current, and past, products on our Beers & Meads page.
We look forward to meeting you over a beverage soon!

Brewery draught, 6/13/26.
Very interesting; much more caramel and brown sugar than usual for an IS. Almost black barleywine-like. Not getting a ton of barrel. Maybe even a bit of oxidation in there. No alcohol noted.
Oaky with a strong roasted bitterness. Some chew to it and sweet caramel and chocolate. Oaky tannin much stronger than actual bourbon character. Some vanilla and more caramel retronasal. Warming but no overt alcohol. Doesn't quite get there for me; none of the profound, deep, intensity the best in the style have to offer. While I don't need a syrup bomb, this is also too light of body for its size. Flavors just don't develop fully and there's no interesting bourbon complexity or lip-smacking richness of malt.

Wow they certainly got a ton of expression on the marshmallow. Stay Puft eat your heart out. Not sure if that's necessarily a good thing, but some roasty coffee helps cut it slightly, with a bit of drier vanilla and dark chocolate character.
Much drier than expected, wow. Actually a bit lacking in the body for a beer of its size. Great flavor and while the mallow is strong it isn't quite overdone. Almost gets chewy but not quite. Just a bit too thin.

Moderately roasty with a touch of hazelnut character. Light mineral and mild fruit. Not too toasty or chocolatey.
Nice and chewy, malty with mild chocolate and minimal toast. A bit bland on the finish, papery if you will, but otherwise the texture here is a standout and very satisfying for its size. Very flavorful without excessive roast/toast. Light hop character adding earthy, spicy bitterness.

375ml bottle pours out golden. Nose is sweet over ripe banana notes some and a great honey kick. Taste is more of the nice sweet banana notes and a great end.

Brewery draught, 6/17/23. Clear dark brass. Small, white head, low retention. Sourdough, light herb. Pepper, bit of husky grain/tannin? Crisp with great malt flavor but a touch of soap and tannin. Very light, just a bit lacking in maltiness. But clean and not over hopped.

Bottle at brewery, 6/17/23. Clear blueberry juice. Blueberry acidity and spice with a hint of floral and vanilla character. Juicy honey. Soft, juicy, good acidity and peppery, well-expressed fruit. Quite sweet, but a good deal of acidity. Clean, no alcohol.

Bottle at the brewery, 6/17/23. Clear, pale brass-golden. Really nice spicy vanilla with some lovely ester and just a hint of savory cinnamon on the back end. Rich honey with more peppery phenolics on the finish. Big vanilla, soft, savory and round. Juicy orange blossom honey with good acidity. Good body, on the sweeter side but still reasonable attenuation. Very tasteful, low amount of cinnamon. Spice, fruity, juicy honey lingering. Really well-done.
