16oz can from the source. Pours a dark brown color with a decent sized frothy tan head that persists. Earthy hop and roasted coffee with bits of dried fruits and light sweet bread. Just a hint bigger in body than I was expecting but its a dam flavorful brew.

Crowler from the source. Pours a deep copper color with faint garnet at the edges and a good sized tan head that dissipates quickly. Rich caramel and bready maltiness with light earthy hops to counter. Light clove and astringency occasionally mar this otherwise flavorful brew.

4 ounce draft at the brewery. Flavor of mild citrus, slight earth, soft herbs again. A lot of bitterness for any brew with a “New England” tag. Slightly astringent.

4 ounce draft at the brewery. Pitch black color. Aroma had a lot of vanilla and chocolate. Mild vanilla, soft chocolate, good mouthfeel. Alcohol is hidden. Hands down the most robust beer I sampled at this brewery.

4 ounce sample at the brewery. Deeper amber color. Good carbonation level. Mild fig, raisins, spice. Yep, I get the shoofly pie spiced thing. Good.
