Crowler from BrewDog Union Square. It pours clear darkest ruby - brown with a fluffy beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, candy, warming spice, clove rock, tangy apple, apple crumble, dark fruits, plum, black grape, bramble, jammy, fizzy cherry cola bottles and tangfastics. The taste is slick initially, toothy, chewy, leafy, dry wood, bitter - sweet, warming spice, clove rock, very fruity indeed, apple & bramble crumble, cherry, grape, splash of Dr Pepper, cherry cola, vinous quality, light tannin, and nip of alcohol heat with a drying, fruity finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and slick mouth feel. Good depth of fruit. Works better than expected. Novel.
