Can on the train to Inverness, thanks to Nick, 09/10/21. Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent white cap. Nose is orange zest, grass, hedgerow, melon. Taste comprises orange zest, a touch mineral heavy, melon, toasted malts, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with modest hop bitterness. A rather basic affair but sipped OK.

Can from Strong Water. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw and lemon. Flavour of lemon and pine. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. There’s not much to it, and at 4.2% ABV it’s too light to be an IPA, but what’s there is fine.

Can from Strong Water. Hazy golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon and yeast. Flavour of lemon, sparkling water and orange. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s not strong enough to be a DIPA (surely 7.5%+ ABV?), and there’s not a great deal of depth to it, but it’s fresh and citrusy.

Can from Strong Water. Black body with a tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma of cocoa and liquorice. Flavour of chocolate and caramel. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Looking forward to trying more from this new brewery.
