Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with a small fluffy beige head. The aroma is toasty grain, molasses, tamarind, sticky dried fruits, fruit cake, cherry cola, touch of umami and liquorice allsorts. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, nip of acidity, dried fruits, plum, tamarind, fruit cake, cranberry, cherry cola, fizzy cola bottles, molasses, treacle, tangy, bramble and some brown bread. Finish is fizzy sour candy. Medium body and fine, fizzy carbonation. Can't say I am the biggest fan of dark sours, but this one is decent.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy pale lemon yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is cereal, grain, kitty litter, must and tangy grapefruit soda. The taste is crisp, dry, puckering, lactic, zingy, tangy, bright sour grapefruit, sherbet, lemon peel, pithy, zesty, sherbet, salty cracker, toasty grain and cereal with a drying finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Not a huge amount to the aroma, but the taste is bright and moreish.

Can from The Beerhive. Clear ruby body with a beige head. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of orange and marzipan. Flavour of cherry, brown sugar and plum with a slightly boozy finish. Medium body with a slick, oily texture. Light fizz. This is superb - a lovely, warning sipper. Great flavour and the effect from the barrel ageing is nice and subtle.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A murky orange/amber coloured pour with a healthy white head on top. Hoppy, mango, peach, tropical fruit taste/aroma. A very tasty soft/smooth drinking IPA indeed, I'll certainly look out for this one again.
