October ‘09 O-Town Throwdown. Cheers to Godofthunder for the growler. Pours brown, off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, malty, light chocolate,/ hop bitterness. really enjoyed the aroma and mix of orange with the chocolate. Flavor, thin orange peel body, light roasted malts, chocolate, hoppy notes. The mix is unique and enjoyable.

Growler October ’09 O-Town Throwdown, cheers to Cheeseman. Pours golden, white head. Aroma and flavor, not as harsh as I was expecting, the wasabi is noticeable but not as powerful in mustard seeds as I had anticipated. Overall mouthfeel and aroma are of wasabi seeds, lightly spicy, with lingering pale malts. Feels like without the wasabi this beer would be rather insignificant.

On tap at MBG Summer Festival. Poured gold with an off-white head. Aroma dominated by the basil, definitely odd for a beer. Flavor has sweet honey notes and strong basil notes as well. Really, I just didn’t think this made for a good beer. Quite odd and not for me.

Tap at MBG Summer Festival. Poured black with a light brown head. Aroma consisted of sweet chocolate with a mocha note as well, did not pick up much of a chili aroma. Flavor definitely brought out the dutch chocolate but again the chili flavor was lacking. Not bad, but would like to see the chili incorporated more.
