Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy medium Amber - flavor is bready malt, light peat, light cherry, mild acidity - flavor is rich bready malt with some acidity cutting through the middle - not much else - peat character is minimal - there is a slight minerality to the finish - tastes like a strong amber ale more than anything.

Pint at the brewery - damn, this is a vibrant one - nose is bursting with fresh cut grass, melon, and lemon zest - flavor is spicy, grassy, peppery - loads of lemon and fresh citrus - just fresh, juicy, and delicious.

Pint at the brewery - oh boy - I sure love the base beer here, but this iteration is just weird - it tastes like bitter coconut milk, vanilla, mild pithy fruit pit character, pine sap, wood - everything here clashes - these ingredients should not have been thrown together into an IPA.

Pint at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - clean, lean, crisp malt character and a soft texture - mellow sweetness - they’ve utilized a single malt here and the elegant simplicity of it is great, and allows for the saphir hops to really shine - grassy, herbal, mildly citric - clean, crisp, nice - I’d love to see a variation of this brewed with some Belgian yeast.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy red - aroma of tart cherries, some spices, clove, pepper - initially, the flavor presents a lot of buttery diacetyl on the front end, which is really distracting and problematic - thankfully, this subsides a great deal as it opens up, but is always slightly present in the background - malt structure is rich, but mostly dry and toasty, with just a bit of sweetness - yeast provides some peppery phenolics, earthy/dusty character, light esters of banana - similar to a dunkelweizen in character - it’s actually pretty nice, aside from the one flaw - clean up the diacetyl and you’ll have a winner, as he yeast is otherwise nicely expressive here.

Tulip at the brewery - light Amber with a thick, soapy lace - rich, cleN maltiness in the nose, raisin, toffee, caramel, dark bread - creamy texture - front end is rich caramelized sugars, followed by some raisin, candied cherries, then a bit of spiciness and dark breads - finishes sweet, along with a nice warming alcohol presence, a bit of whiskey - I’m digging it.

Pint at the brewery - Clear dark orange - not sure what happened here, as this did not wind up near as good as the octoberfest and it is supposedly a very similar recipe - a bit of vegetal character, thin body - there is a fair richness to the malt character, some mineral, some floral hops - but also faint background butteriness - eh.

Pint at the brewery - clear dark gold - as is typical with their IPAs, the malt profile is lean, light, only mildly sweet, so as to showcase the flavor and aroma profile of the hop - the high alpha acid content of the hop certainly makes things bitter and assertively spicy, but as is typical with this brewer, they manage to keep it aggressive without being overly acidic or bitter - mostly spicy and herbal, but with back end notes of citrus and tropical fruit - another solid IPA.

Half pint at the brewery - really interesting infusion here - the base beer is clean, lean, zesty - and the addition of the Shiso adds an interesting, fresh, and vibrate mo times to the beer that compliments the fresh hopping well - I like it.

Pint at the brewery - Nearly black pour - creamy texture - a surprising amount of tartness and nearly vinous character - this works surprisingly well with the moderate acidity and roast of the coffee, and back end notes of lightly sweet cherries and chocolate - interesting brew.
