Description
Founded in 1900, Cervezas Ambar is an independent Spanish brewery that maintains the spirit of a constantly evolving family enterprise. With 18 beer varieties, it has more specialities than any other brand. It continues to produce beer at the same brewery where it began operations in the early part of the last century, located in the historic San José neighbourhood. There they maintain the craft processes of the 20th century, with their own malting facility and the only open vat fermentation room still in use anywhere in Spain.

Bottle. Clear pale golden body with a decent white head that fades rather fast. Not much aroma found here, slightly floral. Luckily there are some more flavor here, quite distinct malt and some grain, low bitterness. Body is as expected a bit thin and watery with short aftertaste. Still, as a zero alcohol, no gluten beer I was a bit uncertain what to expect. Better than feared, still not great in conventional context but I guess it’s an alternative to a blend lager if driving and suffer from gluten intolerance. Might deserve a bit higher score for that, but my score is compared With a regular lager morte than less.

50cl bottle. Pours between brown and red with moderate fine white foam. Aroma is fruity, mostly cherries, probably cherries juice. Body is slightly dense with low carbonation. Taste is delicately sour, and partially sweet. Finish is relatively long. Not bad.

Clear pale yellow colour minimal white head; aroma of grainy and minimal floral notes; taste of grains, some grape and a huge amount of the metallic-industrial lager-like notes...is it really a pale ale?...if so, then it is most probably the worst ale of the world.
