Bottle, 75cl corked. A dense, finger-thick, white head sits on top of a clear, golden body. Sweet apples and some apple cores on the nose, quite cellar-ish too. A bit sweet on the palate, medium bodied and slightly sourish. Although a bit too weak and sweet, it’s a tasteful and pleasant cider. 110820

750 ml bottle at a supermarket in Kyoto! What a shock to find this. Lush fruity aroma, pear plus apple; straight-forward, fleshy. Amber-gold with lots of bubbles and some quickly dissipating lace. Sweet and fruity, with a bit of tang, something almost dusty but not quite, pear, seems like apple too. A bit sweeter than I like but not overly so, refreshing and nice fruit taste with a dryish finish and not much negative to say. A bit spritzy, but in the summer, that works. Nice low-alcohol summer drink.

Canned. Clear pale golden, brief head. Distinct diacetyl aroma. Sweet and butterscotchy, light bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Toffee, stale butter and some boiled vegetables. Very fruity and unclean, no hops detected. Gee... I wonder why the brewery did not want their name stated on the can...
