On tap @Open Baladin Roma. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Semplice ma di carattere, schietta, gradevolissima.

Bottle at home Attenkirchen Thursday 12th December 2019 in the company of Lynn and Barry, listening to Here Lies Man - No Ground to Walk Upon. I picked this up fromHarpf Getränkeladen bottiglieria in Brunico. Pours murky dark amber, very little carbonation, not doing much for me and at €9.75 it's at least €7.00 overpriced. Sweet but, watery, in fact it is pretty poor, very little to describe here.

Bottle at Hotel petrus, riscone. A very nice vienna beer, some appley flavours. (10/12/19). --- Bottle at Hotel Petrus again. Apple was gone now. Sediment appeared. Dark for a helles and light for a vienna so not sure what to say. Easy drinking. 3.1 to 3.2.

Bottle that I picked up at Getränkeladen Harpf, Bruneck, Sud Tyrol, Italy and consumed at home, Saturday 5th October 2019. Pours gold, slightly hazy with a white head. Quite a pushy bitterness and very good for it, soft slightly soapy mouthfeel, lemony with a dry finish. Very nice.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome).

No head to speak of; fully muddy reddish brown beer. Vanilla, dried fruit, fortified wine, oxydation/madeirisation, higher alcohols, whisky. Vanilla, fusels, chocolate, again dried fruit, (over)ripe banana - if not that sweet. Wood. Chocolate stronger in the finish, as praline with a whisky ganache. Pretty complex beer. Furious alcoholheat, not really well-bodied, but oily-viscous. Great beer! Many thanks to Hans B!

Vague white head over fully hazy orange beer. Very aromatic nose, bit dusty as well; orange/peel, bit of rosewater. Bitter, slightly oxydized. Faint mould as on orangepeel/curaçoa - wouldn't be surprised if the peel has really been added. Bitter orange. Light body, but quite slick, even viscous. Good carbonation. Not bad, we compared it to the Hoegaarden Grand Cru from Pierre Celis, rather than a typical IPA. I Thanks to Hans B!
