Black beer, thick off white head. Malty aroma. Flavour has sweet and toasty malt, a little hop, a dash of chocolate. Rich, tasty and sessionable stout.

Nitro can from Trader Joe's. A little more pressure in the can made it kind of hard to pull the tab, but I managed to avoid a gusher and pour a nice dark stout with a creamy tan head. No cascading bubbles like a Guinness. The body is a little brighter than many Irish stouts, and the smell is less roasty, more forward on coffee and a bit of ale fruitiness. Taste is kind of creamy, with some coffee roast bitterness. A little more effervescence to the mouthfeel. No one would call this flat, even if bubble are still not visible. A clean finish, low alcohol presence. Always woth it to try another stout made in Ireland.

On tap at Angel, Stockport. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with medium sized creamy cream head and excellent lacing. Roast malts to the fore in the aroma, plus some traces of coffee. Roast malts again in the mouth where it is sweet and creamy. Quite a mix of flavours coming through – tar, ash, dark fruits, figs and liquorice – not all at once though! Finish is bitter and slightly sticky. This is a decent stout – similar in texture to Guinness, but tastier.

Almost black, thick foamy and light beige head. Faint aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Light taste following the aroma. Dry and medium bitterness.

ABV: 4.2%. ✅ Clear medium to dark brown colour with a small to average, fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, sweet malt, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, ash. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20240117]

440 ml nitro can. After a rapturous pour, I was left with a barely translucent dark brown liquid topped by a two inch dense, creamy tan head. Subtle roasted malt aroma is appealing, yet faint. Flavor is roasty, chalky and thin. Smooth, with a slightly bitter character. Dry with dark toasted bread notes. Pleasant enough, for the style. Similar to Guinness, though less lactic.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is grassy, some herbal, mild nutty and some chocolaty and ashy tones. Flavour is grassy, some chocolaty and mild ashy and some herbal tones with a bit earth. Crisp carbonation.
