Black pour, large beige head. Aroma is strong on egg nog, nutmeg, roasted sweet malts, hints of vanilla, and some cinnamon. Silky mouth feel, regular carb. Finish is sharp, and quite strong on spices. Lots of cinnamon, and some big bready, doughy malts. Semi sweet end, with subtle nutmeg, and vanilla.

For autism 650ml. Deep amber pour, off white head. Solid citrus nose, with a great amount of pine, with the typical soapiness i love in a good dipa. Carbonation is spot on, mouthfeel is superb. The finish is hoppy, and piney. Wonderful malt backbone, touches of caramel, and bread. Incredibly balanced dipa.

Bottle at the mondiale 2014, listed as red racer imperial porter.
Very dark brown pour, but some light does get through, with a small rocky beige head. Aroma of robust roasted malts, sweet malts, brown sugar and some light soy notes. Full bodied, soft carb. I cant say im getting much bourbon notes of woody notes, the oak chips dont seem to be doing much i find. The finish is a medium bitter, with alot of roast that lingers, and it quite pleasant. Pretty run of the mill strong porter.

Very very mild pumpkin ale, just the way I like them. Hints of nutmeg, and cinnamon and some pie crust. Semi sweet malts, malt base tastes like a malty marzen. Some nice grassy notes, and a good carb. Overall a very subtle pumpkin ale, doesn’t crack you over the head with bag of spice.

650ml bottle from the lcbo. 2015 vintage. Dark, murky brown pour, with a small beige head. Loads of nutty roast, dark burnt toffee, and semi sweet caramel with hints of cocoa and coffee. Aroma is a big malty Barley wine / roasty stout hybrid. Hops are subtle, but quite resinous. Mouth feel is full and viscous, and oily, with a nice carb. Finish is high on the bitterness with a soapy, piney hop character, with some big grainy, maltiness, and strong malted cereals. Some age would be interesting on this.

Copper pour, big white head, aroma is all pine, big sticky pine resin, with some light green hop cones. The body is oily, and sticky, a solid carb. The finish is medium bitter, some light alcohol, with some great pithy pin resin.

Cask days 2011.
Incredible citrus aroma. Every citrus fruit under the sun. No malt to speak of, just the way i like it. Incredible hoppy finish, juicy, fruity, citrucy. Medium bitter finish, with an aftertaste that is incredible. Citra is an incredible hop.
Earlier Rating: 3/2/2009 Total Score: 3
nice golden amber pour, with a nice white head. Solid aroma of grass, hops, and some slight honey. The flavor is hoppy, but not overly hoppy. There is some nice malt notes, and more of the grass, with a lingering soft hoppy bitterness. Not outstanding, but a solid, quenching, tasty amber ale.

Cask days 2012.
Huge leafy, green hoppy aroma, sweet malts, and touches of minerals.
Good mouthfeel, expected low carb, medium bitterness. This is a new world approach to an ESB. Finish is again huge on hops with some nice bready malts. And ESB and APA hybrid.

Super dark red pour, huge fluffy, sticky off white head. Lovely citrus aroma, big notes of pine, and some sticky chewy malts. The hops are pungent, and sticky, and quite bitter. the mouthfeel is sticky, and thick, the carbonation is a little low and soft. the finish is highly bitter, big notes of grassy, citrucy hops. The malts are thick with caramel, and bread. A big hoppy red ale, nice stuff.
