In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

375 ml bottle. Pours a dark clear brown with light head. Aromas of brown sugar, bourbon, and sweet toasted malts. Flavors of brown sugar syrup, oak and bourbon. Nice but the bourbon is overwhelming.

Bottle - Nice caramel and some nice vinous barrel notes. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Lots of nice Woody notes with caramel and a sweet Woody finish. Nice sweet and Woody

375ml bottle from Whole Foods, Seattle, WA. Pours yellowish with a tiny head. Aroma of vinous notes, funky yeast, hay, wood and funky yeastiness. Taste is vinous, funky and woody with some oak, tart fruits and grapes. Finish is vinous, funky and heavy with tart fruits, grapes and yeast. Okay.

White wine barrels with brettanomyces – 2016 vintage
Aroma has tart tones with white wine and citrus. Also some mild milky tones. Flavour has sweet fruity tones, white wine, acidic notes, citron and white wine. White wine is strong with this one – which I unfortunately find as a bad thing.

Bottle at Laiti’s, Helsinki. Colour is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, sweetness, some sourness, some harshness and malts.

Bomber split with Mick at Imazato. Raven brewing son of birdserker 5% A clear orange gold With a filmy white head and woodsy fruity pine hop bouquet. Med to full body died with a dry finish. The taste is biscuity caramel and big resinous citrus hops with a dash of cream soda. Good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong creamsicle, yeast, pure sugar. Medium mouth, pure sugar, yeast, bubblegum, boozy finish, very good.

Can. Pours a clear amber with a slight copper hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some sweet grains with a decent amount of pine, some sweet resin and a hint of grass. Flavor has more of a strong pine with a light wood note, some earthy grains and a hint of sweetness in the finish.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews.  Pours a near black with a tan cream head.  Nutty toasty aroma.  Flavor is a mild roasted touch that I really can’t get enough of.  Has a toasty warming feel to it, in a lighter porter.  Soft bitter chocolate finish.  Very nicely done.
