Description
In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

I've been coming back to this one occasionally when i just need a solid imperial I'm a 19.2 oz can for under 4 bucks. A nice IPA, and solid change in the ages old tried and true Trickster which neighbors it on the shelves now. A nice citrus note that doesn't define the hop bill completely. Caramel malts build a sturdy foundation to this. It's bold throughout, with an appropriate amount of fruity like hops. Looks like this one is sticking around for a while. Definitely a solid choice for when your craft beer stops in the Seattle area include a simple grocery store or a gas station.

19.2oz can from Brewers Haven. Cloudy golden pour, soft foamy whitehead. Aroma is ripe fruit tropical, melon, pineapple. Taste continues with the ripe fruit and tropical flavors, cantaloupe. Very unassuming for a DIPA, approachable, fruity, gentle. Kind of dies off at the finish.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Dark golden body, one finger frothy white head. Aroma is stone fruit and citrus. Taste turns more to the citrus, zesty notes, stone fruit, mild dryness. Taste fades quickly, bitterness remains. A big fruity blast up front that simmers down.

Certainly a citrus forward IPA, as it is borderline rich with juicy citrus fruit. Clean and bright golden pour. Dense foam. Inviting grapefruit nose. Cool and crisp front, with a slightly sharp hop aggressiveness to pair well with a juicy citrus lingering palate. Reminds me of the old school Citrus Mistress. Delicious IPA all around, and a must try if you enjoy your IPAs to be not hazy, but on the citrus side.

On tap at The Tap (Yakima), pours a clear blonde with a large white head. Aroma brings out fresh lime upfront such that the pilsner notes are buried. Flavour is bright and limey, with nothing much else to speak of. Wouldn't have guessed this was a pilsner. Bright lime beer of some sort that is drinkable but boring.
