Bottle: Poured a hazy orange color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of heavy residual sugars with some Belgian malt notes and some honey and pear notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by heavy Belgian malt with quite a bit of residual sugars with some pears and honey notes. Body is full with limited filtration and no apparent alcohol. Enjoyable but like most beer from this brewery I think it could do with more attenuation.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of roasted dry malt notes with nice rich chocolates notes with a side of molasses. Taste is a very nice balance mxi between some roasted malt notes with some dry notes which are offset by creamy chocolates notes with medium sweetness notes of green molasses. Body is full with nice creamy texture with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed and probably one of my favorite beer from Iron Fist.

Crystal clear golden amber, copper and bronze coloured body with a thin, nice laced tan head. Aroma of immediate belgian yeast, some pungent hops, a lot of alcohol, warm cognac, brandy and some honey - strong nose. Full-bodied; Dense malty mouthful at first with a big hop bite, some subdued fruity and yeast notes with a lot of deep resinous and piney bitterness at the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of alcohol warmth, similar to a scotch, with a deep malty and lightly dry and oaky finish - all with some honey and rather assertive sweetness. Overall, a nice, well-balanced and multi-layered beer with some nice characteristics. A bit still rough around the edges, but that makes sense, and even after a few years, I’d think this would still be showing some harshness. I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from Super Jr Market (Best Damn Beer Shop) in San Diego, California on 07-June-2013 for US$3.49 sampled at home in Washington on 10-January-2014.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy wit color with a slight white head. Light floral/fruit aroma. Med body. Flavor is lots of hop, largely citrus, over a light malt backbone (slightly roasty). It develops some significant grapefruit rind after a bit. Really quite an impact for such a low ABV. Would be good to have a few of these around.

750ml bottle pours a hazy orange with some thick, creamy white head. Nose is spicy, herbal, gristy, perfume, some tropical fruit. Flavor is peppery, candy, a bit too sweet, perfume. Heavy finish. Not my cup of tea.

750ml bottle pours a clear orange with some thin, white head. Nose of... barf. Seriously. Orange, trash, rotten fruit. Flavor is also barfy, rotten fruit, candy, booze. Nasty.
