Description

Can, many thanks to Cunningham. Golden color with small white head. Malty aroma. Very sweet taste, blah.

35cl can (shared by Arve_Christian - thanks) Pours clear pale golden with some small floaties with a small, white head. Weak grainy aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and hints of ripe pears. Smells quite bad. Medium sweet with a lightly dry finish with hints of bitterness. Fairly standard, but below average tropical lager. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cerveza Cristal (Chile) on 05 Jun 2013 at 18:18 - Score: 2

Big hobo-size bottle, Hanga Roa. Medium-brown colour. Smells very sweet and caramel. The body is thinner and less sugary than some of its South American contemporaries. This might make it easier to drink a hobo bottle, but it also delivers less of the rich, sugary pleasure that the other examples have.

Bland, quite grainy, but also fairly dry for a macrobrew. I wouldn’t want too many of these, but you can wash down an empanada with one.

Bland, grainy golden lager. If cold enough, this works on a hot day. A touch grainy and acidic in the finish.

Pale swill, vaguely malty, generally clean, but no real hop character and a typically thin body. Nothing wrong with it, but after a couple of days this starts to get really old. Drink the pisco sour instead.

Can. Very light hop and hay, fruity notes too. Pale golde, low head. Light hayish malt, rubbery notes, a hint hops. Fresh enough. Watery finish.

this is one bad beer. By far the worst I’ve had in Chile - strange that the worst ones are always what the most people drink. Glad I only had a small glass someone gave me from a bottle. Foul and pissy.

not all that bad really. a bit of a skunky hops taste, which is more than most pale lagers. worked hard through 1L witha plastic twisty cap trying to detect ta bad aftertaste but didnt find any, thats saying a lot for a lager
