75 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours golden and clear orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is slight yeasty spiced and a malty. Flavour is sweet malty with a slight dry woody/malty note. Has a slight bitterness mixing in with a solid malt flavour and some slight yeasty spiced note. Finish is light spiced with a slight herbal touch. Nice brew and a mild finish.

Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007: Copper with a off white head. The aroma is a cereal grain with spice. The taste is sweet with more of that cerealness and some alcohol. The age of this beer did not do it well!

Bottle from the early ’90s, offered me years ago by Joris Pattyn
Bright ruby color, with a thin white collar. Wonderful sour aroma, pungent, a bit fruity and with cellar hints; later it’s also woody, with a light touch of milk chocolate. Good body structure, aggressive sourness, a lot of lemon juice; the sourness turns into bitterness; harsh; when warmer the mouthfeel is smoother and there is also a touch of hazelnuts. The palate is nice and astringent to start, but quite short. Very good. Lambic?

Bottle Clear, lightly amber body with a white head. Interesting aroma of white grapes, caramel, wine (very lambic like). Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour: not very intense but still quite interesting.

75cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear amber with lasting beige head. Cereal aroma, a rather lovely Belgian ale with good malt/yeast/hop balance. Plenty of grain and a dry dessicating finish. Rather good, especially the mouthfeel and the hoppy dry finish.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper amber with froathy lacing head. The aroma was a bit pungent with apple like fruitness to it, some spice as well. The taste is bitter at first but supsides to leave a sweet malt, there is hints of harvest flavor as well.

Bottle: Poured a red color with a white color carbonated head. The aroma is a sour old like cherry. Taste is very sour and overwhelming to my palate, very tangy and burns.
