Draft at Orange & Brew, Black Friday. Hazy orange, with a parfait-like head. Smell is mostly coconut and marshmallow, not so much strawberry at first. Taste: coconut gives it a very creamy taste up front. Then, a taste and texture like a Strawberry Nehi. The strawberry pop impression makes it kind of fun.

Tap at Black Horizon. Not unlike weyerbacher raspberry imperial stout, which was what I was hoping for. Pleasant real? Raspberry tone gives it nice depth. Nibs are restrained, giving it a dessert edge but not dominating. Good.

Tap at Black Horizons. Sort of nails it, but the El Dorado doesn't really help keep it stylistically true. Bold, clean, bright. A little flat or muted in the finish to me. Good.

16 oz. can, put up for sale the day before at BHBC. Brownish black body under a big fan head with a bit of Guiness Cascade going on. Not enough oats to make a creamy head, it seems. Smelling some light chocolate toast malts and true spice. Not intended as a big beer by any means. Taste is rather malty for a stout, which doesn't quite do it for me. Roast is off to the side, leaving light cocoa, and a note of sour cherry. The eye spice on the nose does come in much on the palate. No dry stout finish, either. A sweet dark beer that might tend more to the side of a porter.
