30/VI/14 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ Bouvier's place, football WC match Belgium-USA - BB: 27/IX/15 (2014-688)

Clear dark orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, sweet and sugary, peaches, some banana, bit oxidized. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, bit malty, pretty oxidized, almonds, little bitter, sourish. Aftertaste: orange peel, lemon rind, bitter, very oxidized, sweet, some caramel. And this beer had still one year before expiration? Madness...

30/VI/14 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) shared with Bobochamp @ De Hopduvel (Gent) - BB: 28/V/17 (2014-682)

Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige irregular head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: spicy, grains, horse stable, bit dirty, metallic. MF: too much carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sweet, sourish touch, caramel, spicy, little bitter. Aftertaste: caramel, some citrus, bitter, hint of chocolate, metallic. Meh. Would have been a chance for De Block to surpass themselves as a brewery, by making something more bold, stout-like. An opportunity not taken, alas.
