Bottle shared thanks to Thijs. Hazy brown, small head. Brown sugar, lots of spices, alcohol, chestnuts, raisins, rum, earthy bitter boozyness. Quite sweet, over medium bitter. Over medium bodied, soft carbonation. Meh

Herbal-spicy yeasty, minimally bready and grainy, malty as well as mildly grassy and minimally fruity hoppy aroma, notes of herbal liqueur, genever, a touch of marjory, basil, white pepper, pear, apricot. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin mocha head. Aroma: Coffee, roasted malt, subtle Bourbon. Taste: Roasted malt, quite a lot of black coffee, subtle Bourbon, vanilla, caramel coffee, coffee with sugar. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness. Smooth, bit creamy mouthfeel. Over medium to full body, below average carbonation. Nice one, Menno!

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. For a Stout that includes ghost pepper among the ingredients, this is awfully balanced. Smooth roasted malt with chocolate, coffee, soft vanilla, hint of coconut. Velvety mouthfeel, medium sweet. Rare to find so delicate a Pastry Stout.
