12 oz draft at Beer Church Brewing Company in New Buffalo, Michigan. The pour is mostly clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is esters, Belgian ale yeast and a general herbal character. The taste is a somewhat watery Belgian spice, floral, herbal and more yeast to the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with natural carbonation and the lingering muddled yeast flavor. The finish thins out a fair amount.

32 oz crowler from the brewery. Thanks Wyatt! Tasty addition to the style, full of both bold and rich caramel malt notes. Flavorful and easy drinking lager. Bright golden amber appearance. Cool earthy finish. Impressionable autumn like malt bill all around. Solid brew. Definitely passes the I could drink a full stein of this test. Or in this case, crowler.

Opaque garnet-brown body, medium coffee-creme head. Nose of layered chocolates, ashy coffee beans, roast, and alcohol. A face-smacking, palate-shocking sweet, ashy, vinous, chocolaty bomb of a beer, inky and leathery, with coffee bean and raisins. Sipping this took me back to the days of my first bottle of Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout. A must-try.

Deep tawny red-brown body, thin cream head. Tangy, sweet, syrupy nose, vinous with brown sugar. Super-sweet, intense body, with loads of brown sugar, grape, leathered fruit, and alcohol. Vinous and silky-smooth. An old ale that knows what it wants to be when it grows up.

Murky peach-apricot puree body, thin sudsy off-white head. Nose juicy, mostly orange, with papaya and passionfruit. Unsweetened orange juice dominates the flavor profile, bright, tannic, and rindy, with a relatively bitter finish. Creamy and full-bodied with very little sweetness. A substantial, well-crafted beer that would benefit from a little more in the way of residual sugar.
