500mL bottle at Stout Week line share, 2/18/24. Deep, dark, viscous, no head. Rich bourbon in the nose giving off an almost buttery tannin, alongside big vanilla notes and thick, dark chocolate-forward malts. Touch of alcohol on the finish. Soft, rich, sticky, lightly syrupy, sweet, not horrendously so. Almost a bland or buttery character again, alongside cacao and prune with bourbon spice but mostly rich malt. Fairly mellow. Interesting but not as successful as the potential of Mash Ray led me to expect. But lots of potential with this newer brewer!

500mL bottle, stout week line share, 2/18/24. Dark, viscous, undetermined clarity, no head. Nose comes off as hazelnut. Takes me a while to decide but that's it. Obviously the peanuts mixing with the malt and such. Rich, but not sugary. Good acidity on the finish. On the mouth it's soft, luxuriously rich and sweet. Don't normally care for the non-BA pastry stout, but the peanuts are so compelling and despite the big sweetness up front, there's great acidity in the finish.

Draft at the brewery. Deep caramely orange-brown body with almost no head. Aroma mostly sweet caramel and butterscotch. Dense, sweet, syrupy body with huge brown sugar, caramel, and butterscotch paired with honeycrisp apple. Massive but seems underattenuated.

Draft at the brewery. Cloudy bright orange body, medium dense cream head. Creamy and juicy, round and balanced but not very sweet, with peach and papaya, finishing with lingering melon and a citrus rind bite.
