Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall off-white and tan head. Aroma of soured, tart and very fruity notes with some apricots, peaches, guava, pears and even some hibiscus flowers with some mellow wheat malts and little else - just the soured and slightly dry note. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong floral, herbal and very tart flavoured with some light sweetness from fruits and a slightly kettled sour funky lactobilly note that is dry and tart, but not too complex. Aftertaste shows some dryer and more fragrant floral notes that balance out the malt and a little of the sweetness, but the fruit and crisp tart notes dominate here, especially on the finish with a slightly puckering bite, but fairly well-structured and showing nicely throughout. Overall, a nice, but not great slightly soured ale that has a funky, bretty and especially lactobilly note with some pungent sweetness and a good dry herbal characteristic towards the end. This was slightly disappointing since there was no glitter at all and despite my kids (especially the girls) wanting to see it, there was nothing there, and the beer wasn't too great either. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 12-June-2020 for US$3,59 sampled at my house here in Washington on 31-October-2020, Halloween 2020, before going out trick-or-treating with my three kids in our neighbourhood.
