About
IF A 1857 GERMAN IMMIGRANT BREWER WOKE UP TODAY, WHAT BEERS WOULD THEY MAKE ON OUR MODERN SYSTEM WITH CURRENTLY ACCESSIBLE RAW MATERIALS?
We start with classic German styles, use as much traditional malt and noble hop varieties as we can source, then add some heritage inspired malts & hops for that New World experience. The result — a modern interpretation of classic styles, informed by tradition and place. And all of our beers are unfiltered.

This was good. I like that it was served without fruit or other additives, but also with syrup on request. Lightly tart, yeast. I have had more sour Berliners but also, less so, and it is rare to find them without flavoring.

Pint can pours with a near crystal clear copper gold body that supports a nice light tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up spicy to floral hops as well as a nice tangelo juicy citrus note. The taste delivers a modest level of bitter hops that are pleasingly spicy, woody and growing floral hop bitterness. While the hop bitterness is doing it's thing there's also a mild juicy citrus hop flavor sensation leading to a light cracker maltiness into the finish. Cascade has been showcased well here.

Draught at the brewery. Gold color and nice lacing head. More flavorful than I expected. Dry hops and a malt base, crisp, bitter finish, but kess flavorful than the pils.
