Bringing small eco forward R&D projects into the fold parallel with their production, small radical acts can make a huge impact, and beer quality focus doesn't have to be compromised for it either.

Cask @ Crown & Kettle, Manchester. A reference to the Misfits song perhaps? Pours black, beige head. Roasty nose. Dusty ashy roast character, gentle medium cask body, bitter dark chocolate, more ash. Decent cask stout.

Cask at the Sandbar (Courier tap), Manchester, 26/01/24. Golden blonde with an off white cap that thins edgewards, good lacing ensues. Nose is melon, tangerine, soft malts. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, soft malts, orange peel, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough cask pale.

Taste comprises charr, chocolate oatmeal biscuit, cocoa powder, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Tidy cask stout.

Taste comprises citric tinged straw, melon, light perfume, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Regulation session affair ... fine.

Taste comprises tangerine, papaya, melon, orange zest, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced light juicy hop bitterness. Decent sessioner.

9/2/2024. Shared by Colin, cheers. Pours very slightly hazy orange gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, grains, slightly toasted and perfumed. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, average to soft carbonation. Quite nicely done.
