White head with very very pale body. First rice then hop aroma. I declared "Who put hops in my sake?" Thin ricey taste with no finish.

On tap at brewery. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma has very gentle dankness. The dank notes in the flavour are very tired; some pine I guess. Pretty clumsy overall, poor hop expression

5.5
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5

On tap at Grand Fir, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has some crunchy hops, light pine, and a rough bready malt. Flavour is a little better with oranges, some tropical fruits, grapefruit rind, and some bitter pine. There's malty sweetness underneath but the balance and integration are poor. Not a good beer.

On tap at Grand Fir, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has some car exhaust fumes, bitter grapefruit rind, and some pine — doesn't smell like a NZ-hopped beer. Flavour is rough and earthy, with some car exhaust, bitter grapefruit rind, and generally a muffled hoppiness. Not a good hop expression at all; that classic NZ expression is absent. Poor.
