Description
Situated just off the West coast of Scotland the Isle of Arran is arguably one of the most beautiful and dramatic islands in Europe. The splendour and diversity of the landscape has led it to be considered by many as Scotland in miniature. Nestled between the islands largest mountain, Goatfell, and the imposing Brodick Castle lies Arran Brewery which has been brewing award winning craft beer for over two decades.
Opened in late March 2000. The 20BBL plant originated at the Tipsy Toad Townhouse.

Cask at GBBF 25. Clear gold. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma combines malts and grains and low key fruit. Flavourwise it has light fruit including citrus and a malty bready body. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Interesting enough gold.

Old rating - This 330ml bottle was a gift from a friend who visited the Isle of Arran. I've kept it in my dark cellar for 2 or so years. I've not been a fan of barley wines so far, but this one might change my mind, as it was outstanding, very tasty with the 8% ABV very well hidden. Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1936
