Keg at the brewery, 7/31/25. Clear copper, medium white head, average retention. Aroma of toffee, dark malt, and a salty note. Taste is toffee malt, piney hop. Well balanced. Smells bad but otherwise solid.

Aromas are sweet resin. Flavors are similar to nose add in a bit of citrus. Drinkable but nothing special at all.

Aromas are mainly malt, bittersweet with a bit of earth and hops. Flavors are similar to nose, sweet up front with a bitter finish. Fairly simple.

12oz can. Not really that good. Has some odd undertones, no real lagering expertise. Somewhat grainy. Unimpressive overall, not one I'd revisit. Aroma is the worst part. Otherwise it is just a street level cheap beer.

Tap. Doesn't really take much advantage of the Rakau and Kohatu. Misses in terms of Cold IPA, but ends up being a kind of OK NZ Pale. Unique soft white grape touched hop tone.

Tap at New Barons. Herbal, but still rooted in style. After a few sips this gets even more vegetal, herbal. Drinkable, just a little heavy handed with the spices.
