Tap at New Barons. Bright, hoppy for the style. A pinch thin, sort of Zwickely with it's earthy medium malt tones.

12oz can. Thin, watery, drinkable. A little bit of a corny, grainy feel. Not a lot going on, but refreshing enough and no off flavors. A little too close to a real Mexican Lager. OK.

12oz can. Unappealing, oily, burnt, dark malt aromas. Shocks me how bad a lot of dark beers are these days, as I always found dark malts to be more forgiving. For whatever reason, in a lot of lesser examples like this one, I get an oily sour undertone, possibly infected. Drinkable, not unlike your friend's unimpressive homebrew. Not that good.

Can thanks to Drake! WI brewery #71. Hazy, almost murky orange with some chunks and an off-white head. Sweet orange, orange rind nose. Flavor is orange peel, resin, pine. A bit past its prime, but still tasty.
