Description
One fine afternoon in Venice, while two locals, Tom and Spoon, were enjoying a beer on the boardwalk, they wondered to themselves, “wouldn’t it be great if we could have a bite of something delicious and nutritious right now and still watch the sun go down over the Pacific?” One, a fisherman, the other a craft beer brewer, and both watermen, did the only reasonable thing: They went sailing. And they hatched the idea for the Venice Ale House.

On tap at Venice Ale House. A bit hazy golden with a small white head. Mild and easy to drink with hops, citrus and some malt. The body was medium and the bitterness on the light side.

On tap at Venice Ale House. A clear one, golden in color and with a small, white head. The aroma was very much on the pink grapefruit side, which I love, some green pine cones and a touch of pale malts too. Nice bitterness in the flavor, with the same lovely grapefruit doing a whole lot of the work. Some malty sweetness in the back, green pine cones too. Full to medium body, semi-dry and pleasantly carbonated. Long grapefruity finish with a decent bitterness. A very drinkable and rather tasteful beer worth repeating. 130902
