Bottle, at the brewpub. A foggy orange-golden beer with a small off-white head. Pine cones, grass, fluor and a spiced touch in the aroma. Bready malts. It's medium to full-bodied, softly carbonated and semi-dry. Pine cones in the flavor, with grass, fluor and some spiced hints. Bready malts in the back. Some alcohol, especially in the finish, which is a bit edgy and bitter. Decent, but a bit unbalanced. 240615

Bottle, at the brewpub. A clear, brown beer with an off-white head. Some lacing. The aroma has toffee, caramel and some dark dried fruit. Bread crust too. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, soft. Toffee, caramel and dark dried fruit, figs in particular, does most of the flavor work too, with some bready notes. Lasting finish. Decent, Christmasy. Not as intersting as several of the other brews from Natadal. 240615

Bottle, at the brewpub. A brown beer with a dense beige head. The aroma has toffee and dark dried fruit, with a dark bread note. Hints of freshly mown grass. It's medium bodied and semi-dry, nicely carbonated. Toffee, dark dried fruit and bread in the flavor, with hints of coffee, some berry and a spiced, herbal hint. Medium length finish. Could've been interesting, but was rather dull I think. 240615

Bottle, at the brewpub. A lightly unclear dark brown beer with a finger-thick beige head. Nice curtains. The aroma has brown sugar, coffee, chocolate and some honey and alcohol. A spiced touch too. It's full-bodied and warming, with a good sweetness lasting for a good while. Quite low carbonation. Brown sugar, caramel, chocolate and coffee flavor with a very lightly flowery honey touch. Some spice notes, which might be from the honey, and alcohol. Lasting sweet finish. A nice one indeed, should work well as a dessert on its own, or with some ice cream. 240615

Bottle, at the brewpub. Cellared for some years, can't remember how many. Tasted side-by-side with the non-cellared mead wort version. It's dark brown to black in the glass, with a small tan head. The aroma is burnt and roasted, with a touch of licorice. Some forest notes too. Vanilla and a herbal hint, angelica perhaps. It's full-bodied and quite mellow. A bit low on carbonation, but it suits the beer. Semi-sweet, with some bitterness. Roasted and burnt malts, some oxidation hints. Less spiced or herbal flavor, and a mellow alcohol touch. Lasting finish. Quite delicious this one. Bears the age well too. 240615

On tap, at the brewpub. Tasted side-by-side with the cellared regular version. This one not cellared. It's dark brown to black in the glass, with a small tan head. The aroma is burnt and roasted, with a touch of licorice. Some forest notes too. A bit sharp alcohol. Vanilla and a herbal hint, angelica perhaps. It's full-bodied and quite mellow. Decent carbonation. Semi-sweet, a bit sweeter than the cellared regular version, with some bitterness. Roasted and burnt malts, and a light spiced or herbal flavor, and a mellow alcohol touch. Lasting finish. Quite delicious this one, interesting with the added herbal touch, but I still prefer the regular version, at least when cellared. 240615

Bottle, at the brewpub. I'ts a lightly foggy amber colored beer with a creamy beige head leaving lacing. Caramel maltyness, some bread and a touch of juniper and some acidic fruityness. It's full-bodied and warming on the palate, nicely carbonated and not very bitter. A bit unbalanced flavor, acidic, with caramel, bread and some juniper notes. Lasting finish. Sure, it's not off, but not a favorite anyway. 240615

Bottle. It's almost clear in the glass, pale reddish golden in color with a dense, white head. A bit weird but nice aroma, fruity and meaty, with a gentle oxidation. Foresty kveik and juniper. Vinous alcohol. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, with a soft carbonation. Fruity, foresty flavor with juniper and a nice bitterness. Meaty, oxidized maltyness. Medium length finish. An interesting one, at least when drinking a small glass, but I think it would be challenging to finish a bottle on my own. 240615

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear orange colored beer with a dense finger-thick white head leaving lacing. The aroma is grapefruity, with a light generic fruityness. Hints of pale malts. It's full-bodied yet quite drinkable, nicely carbonated with a decent bitterness. Well hidden alcohol warmth. Grapefruity flavor too, with generic fruityness, melon, some pine cones and a hint of pale malts. Lasting fruity finish. Easy drinkable, with a dangerously well hidden alcohol level. 240615
