Skypilot Northwest Pale Ale from Howe Sound Brewing

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite fruity, with notes of resinous hops and tropical fruits. Flavour is dry and crisp, with notes of floral hops, some citrus notes, and some crisp crackery malt. Dry, balanced and highly drinkable. Very nice bright fresh pale ale.

Poured from the tap. Medium purple red with pinkish white head. Bready wheat with mild blueberry in the background. Medium body.

Pumpkineater Imperial Pumpkin Ale from Howe Sound Brewing

32 oz bottle, consumed at Right Proper Brewing. Poured a relatively clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma was pumpkin, actual pumpkin, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg. Flavor was nice light pumpkin pie, with nutmeg taking the forefront on this, with light cinnamon and gourd following up. Actually not bad.

Owl Farm, Brooklyn tap: Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is spicy, with light banana notes (I was expecting much more), some spiciness, light hoppiness, and bubblegum. Taste, at first, seemed to me like that of a Belgian ale. Only after a few sips did I really get the sense of what the brewers were going for in the beer. In any case, it wasn’t bad.

Tap at Jeffrey. Pours ruby brown with tthin head. Nose is rich toffee and malt. Tastes of caramel, malt, hint of pine, vanilla, wood, and chewy leather. Slightly slick palate.

Tap at the Jeffrey. Pours orange with no head. Nose is rich pumpkin pie filling and spice. Tastes of plenty of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, touch of earth, and malt. Almost some fruity koolaid on finish. Semi-sweet and a fulfilling pumpkin ale.

Tap atbthe Jeffrey for BC night, unfortunately I was there early so only few available. Pours like lemon me rang pie. Nose is banana and bubblegum. Tastes of rich banana, bubblegum, more lemon pie, and cloves. Creamy texture. Pretty interesting brew.

Sample at Atlantic Beer Festival Moncton. Bright hazy straw color, medium white had. Nice aroma of fresh lemongrass. Taste is lightly bittersweet citrus. Tasty.
